a great time had by all

only hiccups were from our national carrier, delays both ways, but no major dramas

hi excitement at perth airport, then on the plane over there, lots of seat swapping chatting up the hostie's- the lads are learning young

apart from gibbs' misplaced luggage, all arrived safe and sound

on the coach straight to the wespac(lexus) centre - collingwood traing facility
gr8 talk and tour from scotty watters- thx lynchy
back on the coach, quick check in at the yha then  on to etihad
cracking game geelong v carlton, 1st 3 quarters frenetic, the cats had the legs and ran it out
walked back to the yha and all tucked into bed and fell asleep quickly, ahem

next am victoria markets got run over prior to the tram being taken to st kilda
kids had a few hrs at luna park, whilst the dads kept a close eye on proceedings

trams home, then trains to mcg, adelaide v collingwood

a few got into adelaide rooms pre game

down into the dungeons and changed into crows gear

1/2 time game a bit of a blur, v dalkieth nedlands, 1 goal to nil for us

then treated to another good game, totally opposite to friday, tight defensive battle and to everones surprise adelaide nearly pulled it off

then down to the rooms, very quiet in adelaide, a few players came out to chat including birdman burton- very friendly

as leaving mcg ron barrassi stopped for a few photos with some of the boys - a real bonus, fanastic bloke

the boys (and dads) were treated to melb saturday night tram life and continued their chatting up skills (boys only)

back to yha, tucked up and asleep immediately after being totally worn out, cough cough

next day - sunday- coach down to zebbies (east sandringham jfc, juddies' junior club) for mini lightening carnival.  locals commented best day they had had for 3/12, moreso the sun was out!

ground was bit of a goat track, some wind too

3 of the dads were appointed as super coaches, lynchy, gibbsy and bailey - what chance did the opposition have??

well the footy was played hard and tough, tigers went 1-2, losing to both zebbies teams, only by a few points thou, and then trouncing wembley downs

bbq and wine/beers after (first alcohol for the dads for the trip!!)
very well looked after by our hosts, parents super friendly

coach back to town, a few wandered into town , checked a couple of stores and watched some excellent street performers, then back to melb airport

krispy kreme got cleaned out and a bigger plane was required to ship back the donuts

all up hughly successful trip
great footy seen, great footy played, plenty of various experiences
everyone exceptionlly well behaved and great ambassadors for club

thx to
deb - ken's pa, lots of time and effort put in sorting it all
ken - very busy time at work, but still managed to keep control of everything
tim/will- handling stuff at their end
parents
kids

hopefully the same for next yr
