AuskickClaremont Junior Football Club runs an AFL Auskick program for boys and girls, aged 5 to 8 years.
The Auskick program provides a great introduction to Aussie Rules and the platform for future seasons of weekly home and away footy from our 9s teams and above.
Weekly sessions are run by age-group coaches and comprise a structured skills training component, followed by intra-club modified rules games, with an emphasis on fun and inclusion of all players.
Highlights for the year are our season opening day celebrations, half time WAFL/AFL game appearances, participation in the district Gala Day lightning carnival and the Tigers banner run-through at season end.
Our Auskick program is run by Mike Elias and Andrew Wackett, supported by a fantastic group of assistant coaches all of whom have attained the relevant AFL coaching accreditiation and encourage the hands-on participation of parents wherever possible.
The 2010 Auskick season will run from 9.00 to 10.30am on most Sunday mornings from April to August, with breaks for the school holidays, at College Park Claremont. Click through to our club calender for 2010 Auskick season dates.
